Groups, Users, and Computers

The group structure you define in the Client Manager will most likely match the organizational structure of your company. Once you define your groups, you can add users and computers with similar computing needs and network access requirements to the groups.
Groups
The Global group is the root of the tree structure. Below it, you can add groups and sub groups to suit your organization's structure. The structure also includes, by default, the Temporary group. If a user does not belong to any other group, they are placed in the temporary group until another group assignment is made.
Users and Computers
All users and computers must belong to a group. You can add users and computers to groups manually, or, you can import them from an LDAP or domain server. You can even synchronize organizational structures from an LDAP server.
User Information
User information can be collected during the installation, or, when updating the Agent software. If you enable this feature, a dialog box requesting the information you specify will appear during the installation. This information populates the User Info tab in the user properties dialog box.
